Ep#57 | Be a Troublemaker

Stefanie Krievins focuses her coaching and training on workplace cultures that love their people and want them to stay and take ownership of their results. Her clients are typically leaders and teams struggling with conflict and stalled growth and want to innovate and grow again. Using solution-focused coaching methods, both individuals and groups find new solutions to old problems, work collaboratively, and design processes that skyrocket their success.

ARE YOU BORN TO BE A TROUBLEMAKER?

Well, talking to Stefanie was really interesting! I never imagined there would be a so-called “professional” troublemaker - it somehow intrigues me to try that profession :)

Stefanie shared her wonderful insights about how a professional troublemaker helps an organization reach its mission. That being labeled or placed in a box as “troublemaker” doesn’t necessarily mean they’re causing chaos and discomfort every time the team have that dreaded meeting. When everybody else don’t want them in the room because they’re very vocal and questions just about everything ‘cause honestly they can be quite irritating at times ;)

BUT to see the other side of the coin, they can challenge leaders to do better, to see other key points that they might be missing which can develop new ideas and potential solutions that leaders haven’t thought of before that pesky troublemaker butted in! :)

Some great takeaways from Stefanie :

  • Be open minded to criticism

  • Develop self-awareness

  • Reflect and be honest to yourself

  • Learn to say No as much as you say Yes

  • Know your values
